How (and when) can I purchase items that are not included in my tier?

The add-on store is available in our pledge manager, BackerKit, after the campaign has closed. We will announce the full list of add-ons that will be available for purchase in the latter half of the campaign (we like to incorporate your feedback into this!)

Once the add-ons list is published, you can either pay for add-ons separately in BackerKit after the Kickstarter has ended or tally up all of the add-ons you’ll want and increase your pledge now. The choice is yours!

Will the box fit all of the cards sleeved?

Yes! The Kickstarter exclusive version of the box fits all cards in the base game & Ness is More expansion with sleeves!

If I get add-ons, will everything arrive together or will they ship separately?

No, we will be shipping out in two waves. In order to streamline fulfillment on this campaign and get Twisted Cryptids into your hands as fast as possible, we plan to ship out all tier packages as soon as they are available. Any add-ons you select at the end of the campaign will ship separately, and all add-ons will ship directly from our fulfillment center in the US. This will ensure that our fans around the world get the game closer to the same time (and also means we can start fulfillment on the campaign a little bit earlier than we would be able to otherwise). We will start shipping add-ons after we complete shipment of all tier items.

Are retail pledges an option?

We won’t be offering retail distribution of Twisted Cryptids until 2025. If you are interested in buying multiple copies of the Kickstarter Exclusive Edition for a retail setting, you can submit a pledge for any tier level and then add additional copies of the game in the add-on store after the campaign has closed.

What VAT/ Sales Tax / GST will I be charged in Backerkit?

We charge standard VAT / GST / Sales Tax. You can see a list of current VAT taxes for Europe at https://taxfoundation.org/data/all/eu/value-added-tax-2024-vat-rates-europe/ (check for standard rate).

When will orders lock and the add on store close?

We will senda 48 hour reminder starting monday November 18th that orders are going to lock on Wednesday, November 20th at 9 am pacific / 11 am central / 12 pm eastern. You will not be able to adjust your order after that time, though you can always reach out to [email protected] if you have questions. You will, however, be able to update your shipping address after that date - and we’ll send a reminder to check it before we start fulfillment.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
