I’m delighted to share that we are 100% finished with both waves of Twisted Cryptids fulfillment!! 🎉🎉🎉 Between challenges in customs, inventory transfers, and a lost UPS truck full of packages, the universe really tested us on this one 😮💨

Our biggest takeaway from this campaign is that we need to be more proactive in our communication of challenges as they come up rather than just trying to handle them behind the scenes. When fulfillment factors are outside of our control, what we can do at least is keep a consistent stream of communication (and make sure we are not overly optimistic with our assessments, which was unfortunately the case a few times with Twisted Cryptids). We are putting processes in place to make sure these communication loops are smoother in the future.
Speaking of future projects…We’ve been working on something really big that will be launching in Spring of 2026 on Gamefound…
Here to Slay DUNGEONS is a cooperative dungeon-crawling adventure based in the world of Here to Slay. In the game you’ll customize your Hero and assemble your fearless party as you delve into the dungeon depths on a mission to slay the Dungeon Boss. Will your party make it out alive, hands full of loot? Or will you succumb to the powerful creatures that lie within?
The Here to Slay DUNGEONS campaign on Gamefound will feature 3 standalone base games, each complete with unique Dungeons, Monsters, and playable Heroes for a customizable roleplaying experience that can be mixed-and-matched across sets. And if you follow the project before it launches, you’ll unlock a FREE GIFT 👀

Fulfillment News (Wins, Setbacks, & Solutions) 🚚

Hello!
Over the last few weeks the team has been doing everything they can to get caught up on support emails and further investigate some hiccups in fulfilling this project. We’ve been in contact with impacted backers via email, and I’m happy to be reporting back today with some updates and context about where we’re at.
Here is the current status of fulfillment by region:

US, Central, & South America: 100% of orders have been shipped!
In our last update, we were only aware of 14 outstanding orders but after an influx of messages (i.e. more than 14 🥲) we learned that UPS lost a truck of shipments in the US that impacted about 100 additional orders. We have since reshipped everything, and if you haven’t received yours yet (or seen movement on tracking), please let us know 💖

Canada, UK, non-EU Europe, Africa, and Asia: All Wave 2 orders have shipped 🎉 If you live in any of these regions and have yet to receive any shipping information, email [email protected] and we’ll help you out!

Australia & New Zealand: All orders shipping out from our Australian fulfillment center were completed last week. If you’re in this region and waiting on your order, you should have received that shipping update! If you didn’t, please email [email protected] so we can look into it for you 🫶

EU: Fulfillment is currently 82% complete (😮💨). In our last Twisted Cryptids update, we mentioned a necessary inventory transfer to cover replacements for damaged or missing shipments. This shipment was stuck in Customs for over a month, but it has finally been cleared and arrived at the warehouse in the Netherlands on Monday! GamesQuest, our fulfillment partner, is getting these orders out as fast as they possibly can.
If fulfillment is 100% complete for your region and you still have not received information about your package, received your order with missing or damaged items, or if you have any questions in general, reach out to [email protected] (or fill out this form) and our team will get back to you as soon as possible! Our team had fallen pretty far behind with the influx of tickets we received, but we’ve pulled in more team members to help them out to get our response times back down.
I really appreciate your patience and understanding while we once again navigate frustrations with couriers and customs. There are some parts that are outside of our control, but we could have done better with this project in tracking and sending out updates more proactively so that we didn’t fall into a deep hole of emails and messages 🥲
For future projects, like Mystic Moon, we are committing to sharing standardized updates every two weeks as soon as fulfillment begins to give you all more transparency into what is happening behind the scenes, and we have implemented better tracking processes to allow us to detect when shipping issues and delays are likely earlier in the process.

Hi everyone :)
Since April, we’ve been able to ship out over 48,000 packages for this project with the hopes of wrapping up by September 30. Unfortunately, there have been unforeseen delays due to items that were discovered as damaged before we shipped them 😞 In some instances, this has meant that we have had to facilitate shipments from our US warehouse and transfers between fulfillment partners to finish shipping out orders and replacements for some regions. We have been working to resolve these things as fast as possible behind the scenes, and our team is working to catch up on responding to your questions about it as quickly as they can.
We apologize for frustrations this delay may have caused. I can assure you that we’re doing everything we can to move things along fast and efficiently to close out Wave 2 Fulfillment in early October. As of right now, we’re expecting to be finished with all outstanding shipments by next week, but I will share another update with you regarding timelines should anything come up.
Let’s get right into the status of shipments as it stands by region:

US, Central, & South America: We are 99.9% finished with Wave 2 fulfillment for your region 🎉 (there are literally 14 orders left on which we are resolving address issues, but we are on track to get those out next week 🤞🏽)

Canada: Wave 2 fulfillment is complete!

Australia & New Zealand: The damaged shipment for backers in this region set us back about 3 weeks. We were hopeful that we would be able to make up for lost ground and finish shipping by end of September, but it is still ongoing with about 675 orders left 😮💨

EU: Replacement needs in this region exceeded what we had on hand, but inventory transfers from the UK fulfillment center should remedy this situation shortly. We’re 75% through with fulfillment and expect to finish within the next week.

UK, non-EU Europe, Africa, and Asia: Fulfillment is 94% complete with about 100 orders remaining 💖

I have returned with more updates regarding Wave 2 Fulfillment, along with a shameless plug for a couple of new projects and some answers to frequently asked questions we’ve been receiving!
Friendly reminder: We are currently in the process of fulfilling WAVE 2. This includes all add-ons, such as the Twisted Cryptids: Yeti or Not Expansion, Reversible Cryptid Plushies, Here to Slay: Banner Quest, and more. It also includes shipments for anyone who opted to receive all of their order in Wave 2!
Here’s where we’re at with Wave 2 fulfillment by region:

US, Central, & South America: We’re 85% through with Wave 2 of fulfillment 🎉 There are less than 2,000 orders left to ship out with a new expected completion timeline of mid-September!

Australia & New Zealand: The shipment we were waiting for in the last update finally arrived; however, it unfortunately sustained some damage during transit 🫠 But don’t fret! We’re working with our fulfillment partner to make sure they have the inventory needed to finish shipping out your orders before the end of September as planned! At the time of this update, we’re about 50% through with Wave 2 fulfillment for your region. More updates to come.

I want to shift gears for a minute to tell you about a couple of our upcoming projects we are very excited about :)
First, we have Mystic Moon, launching on Gamefound, October 1st 🌕✨ In this 2-4 player game, you’ll take on the role of young witches foraging ingredients from the moonlit garden, bartering with the mysterious Elder Witch, and arranging puzzles of ingredients in your cauldron to prove your prowess to the stars!

Now that I’ve told you about these two projects, I’m going to get a little vulnerable for a second at the risk of coming across as desperate. This year has been the toughest in our history for a number of reasons, largely driven by the tariffs that have wreaked havoc on many smaller games companies. We’ve faced challenges before and found ways to get through them, but this one has been different. We’ve seen a number of game publishers shut their doors, and we’ve been fighting to find a path to keep going.
A number of you have noticed us running more promotions and announcing more projects than normal, and it’s all part of an effort for us to stay afloat. We want more than anything to keep making games for you, and the reality of the industry right now is a tough one and we’re in survival mode. This is not intended as a plea to spend more on our products (though, if you do, thank you 🥲), but rather as an explanation of what you might be observing.
I also want to assure you that none of these projects or promotions are distracting from our efforts to ensure wave 2 of fulfillment on this project will be completed as planned. We are working diligently to correct any shipping errors that have been reported and to get all remaining orders out the door as quickly as possible.

Fulfillment has started in my region but I still haven’t received a shipping notification. When should I expect one?
Wave 2 Fulfillment is still underway for all regions, so if you haven’t received a shipping notification yet there’s no need to panic! If the timeline passes for your region and you still have yet to receive a notification (or your order), email [email protected] or fill out this form and our team will look into it 😊

I received a notification that a label has been printed for my order, but it hasn't been updated yet. Should I be concerned?
Not necessarily! Each partner has their own system for packing orders and getting them out the door. That being said, packages do get lost from time to time. If the timeline passes for your region and you still have not seen any movement on your shipping label, email [email protected] or fill out this form and our team will investigate and get a new package shipped out to you if needed!

My order arrived but some items are missing or damaged. What should I do?
We do everything in our power to avoid missing or damaged products, but unfortunately these things happen sometimes. Can I add products to my order if it hasn’t shipped yet?
Unfortunately no, orders locked in November when BackerKit surveys closed.

I forgot to fill out the BackerKit Survey, is it too late?
It’s never too late! (well maybe in like… 20 years, yes, but not anytime soon). You can fill out your survey at any time, but you can no longer add products to your pledge. We also want to note that surveys submitted late will be shipped after our fulfillment partners have finished their first attempt at Wave 2.

Yes! We wanted to make sure that the Yeti or Not Expansion gets in the hands of Kickstarter backers first, but we should be releasing the expansion on our website later this year (along with some other Twisted Cryptids accessories)!*

Can I play with all 3 Mini-Expansions at once?
Technically yes, we can’t stop you 😆 however, the Mini-Expansions were designed to be enjoyed individually, and a game with all 3 of them at once will likely be a bit unbalanced.
